ITAC Organization
The Installation Technical Assistance Center (ITAC) is
located at 5915 Hollis Street in Emeryville, CA. I TAC is in a light-brown two-story building across the
parking lot from Heritage Square and Bucci Café. ITAC was recently formed to facilitate the installation of
Northpoint’s xDSL lines. We perform the
final step in the long process of service delivery, from order placement and
provisioning of circuit to local loop delivery to IW scheduling and finally to
ITAC.
There are 95 ITAC personnel reporting
to 6 ITAC supervisors, who in turn reports to 4 ITAC
Managers, who reports to Ron Kester, Acting Senior Manager. ITAC belongs to the
Service Delivery & Customer Care Dept reporting to Ty Nam, Director,
who reports to our Vice President, Charlene Mike-Billstrom
.
ITAC is split
into the following groups: ITAC, PBI, MSN, and Changes/Cancel.
There are 72
ITAC Technicians, 9 PBI Techs, 7 MSN Techs and 7 Changes/Cancel
Techs. The PBI and MSN group are responsible for turning up Pacific
Bell Internet's IDSL circuits and Microsoft's MSN xDSL lines. The
Changes/Cancel group handles cancellations and speed changes.
